Geoffrey Pelham-Lane is one of the UK’s leading financial communications experts, with more than 35 years of experience in financial PR and investor relations. Throughout his career he has advised myriad clients on maximizing their valuations and corporate reputations across a wide range of areas, including IPOs and M&A.

Geoffrey is the co-founder and CEO of Camarco, a London-based financial communications firm acquired by APCO in March 2023 and currently serves as chair of APCO Worldwide in the UK.

His experience includes advising Brewin Dolphin on its £1.6 billion acquisition by RBC, supporting Quilter on its £2.8 billion listing and counselling Grainger on its strategic repositioning. He also supported CMC Markets on its £0.7 billion IPO, Thomas Cook in its transformation and £1.6 billion capital refinancing, and advising ABN Amro, Zurich Insurance Group, Northern Rock (post government ownership), Aegon, Allied Irish Banks, Friends Provident and Fortis, and many others.

Geoffrey was previously global president of FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications division, formerly known as Financial Dynamics, which he joined in 2000. Before that he was head of investor relations at NatWest, where he led the bank’s defence against The Royal Bank of Scotland’s and the Bank of Scotland’s hostile bids, having joined the bank in 1990.

He began his career as a buy side investment analyst with Leopold Joseph in 1985.
