Valeria Rubello is a director in APCO’s Rome office and leads APCO’s Geo-Commerce practice in Europe. In this capacity, Valeria helps clients assessing, understanding, and responding effectively to geopolitical risks, safeguarding corporate reputation and ensuring business continuity. Valeria has extensive experience in running pan-European and international campaigns and advocacy efforts, particularly for clients in the tech and telecommunication industries. She also supports clients across a wide variety of sectors – from tech to manufacturing, shipbuilding and tourism – in their government relations, public affairs, stakeholder engagement and crisis communications efforts.

Prior to APCO, Valeria worked as member of the International Staff at NATO in Brussels for four years, where she supported member nations in their crisis preparedness and developed NATO’s first civilian capabilities.

Valeria holds a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Studies from the University of Turin (Italy). She also studied at Lund University in Sweden and pursued a second master’s degree in Global Advocacy at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She is fluent in Italian and English and has good knowledge of French and German.
