Scott Conklin is a Senior Associate Director in APCO’s public affairs, crisis management and litigation communications practices. Mr. Conklin specializes in helping senior leaders navigate complex issues and public affairs challenges through integrated strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and corporate advocacy initiatives. With experience with corporate and nonprofit clients across healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, technology and financial services industries, Mr. Conklin has worked with private and public companies of all sizes.
Mr. Conklin has counseled clients through hospital data breaches, healthcare mergers, complex multi-district pharmaceutical litigation, product recalls, state energy legislative and regulatory reform, federal rulemaking, corporate branding and storytelling, sustainability and ESG reporting and more.
Prior to joining APCO, Mr. Conklin held communications and public affairs roles at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Conklin holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and entrepreneurship from UNC Chapel Hill.
