Rachele Ciavarella, a lawyer by training, works as a senior consultant in APCO Worldwide’s Brussels office, where she is part of the technology practice. She specialises in developing and implementing advocacy campaigns and the use of broader communications tactics to support public policy goals. In policy terms, she works mainly on data protection, cybersecurity, copyright and broader digital single market issues.
Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Ciavarella gained experience in the “Freedom in the Information Society” Unit of the Research Centre in Information, Law and Society and as trainee at the European Commission, where she was involved in legal analysis on digital advertising, data protection and cybersecurity dossiers.
Ms. Ciavarella holds a master’s degree in Law from the University of Genoa (Italy) and a LL.M. in IT Law from the University of Namur (Belgium). A native Italian speaker, Rachele is also fluent in English and French.
