Larraine Segil, partner emeritus and former owner and director of Vantage Partners LLC, is a global strategic alliances expert with more than 30 years of experience. Based in Los Angeles, she specializes in strategic cross-cultural conflict resolution, and the creation, implementation and management of complex, global business alliances and outsourcing relationships in health care, technology, consumer products, manufacturing, aerospace and financial services.

At Vantage Partners, Ms. Segil assisted Global 100 and Fortune 500 companies with the creation and management of critical business relationships with suppliers, customers, alliances, joint ventures and channel partners. Her clients included Intel, Cisco, HP, IBM, McDonald’s, Disney, MasterCard, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Reuters.

Previously, Ms. Segil was CEO of an advanced materials company that provided products and services to aerospace and electronics manufacturers worldwide. She co-founded a California thrift and loan company as well as a series of free-standing ambulatory care clinics providing medical services. She also taught executive education in global alliance management at The California Institute of Technology and is currently an adjunct assistant professor of law on the same topic at Southwestern Law School, Los Angeles. She has taught senior executives about alliances throughout the Americas, Europe, China and Singapore and has lived in South Africa, Canada and the Middle East.

Ms. Segil is the author of six books, including “Intelligent Business Alliances” (Random House) and “Measuring the Value of Partnering” (AMACOM 2005). She serves on the board of Fortune 300 Frontier Communications and is currently chair of The Committee of 200 Foundation and vice chair of the Governing Board.

Ms. Segil holds bachelor’s and honors degrees from University of the Witwatersrand, a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and a JD from Southwestern University School of Law.
