Danuta Slusarska is the head of APCO’s Energy & Sustainability Practice in Brussels and co-lead of the European Energy & Sustainability Practice. She has almost 10 years of experience advising a wide range of clients on both public affairs and communications in the field of energy, climate and environmental policies. Based in APCO’s Brussels office, she has led several successful advocacy, issue management and communications campaigns around product regulations and the EU Clean Energy Package. She also provides support on competition and litigation cases in the energy field, ranging from stakeholder engagement to crisis communications.
Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Slusarska worked for over four years at one of the leading Brussels-based think tanks, managing its energy, climate and industry program, with a focus on EU’s Energy Union policies, industrial competitiveness, energy geopolitics and international climate negotiations. Previously, she also worked for the European Economic and Social Committee, the Embassy of Poland in Morocco and the Polish-Spanish Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Slusarska holds a master’s degree in Political Sciences and Administration from the University of Granada (Spain) and a master’s in International and European Studies from Science Po Bordeaux (France). In addition to her native Polish, Ms. Slusarska is fluent in English, French, Spanish and has a good knowledge of Russian.
