Casey Johnson (she/her) is an associate director at APCO and is based in Seattle. Ms. Johnson specializes in internal communications as well as diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I). She enjoys helping her clients strategically communicate their vision and values to the audiences that matter most. Following her passion for this critical work, she also serves as communications lead for the Asian, Native Hawaiian & Other Pacific Islander Employee Resource Group (ANHPI ERG).
Previously, Ms. Johnson did proactive external media relations and storytelling for various clients, especially in the technology, cybersecurity and life-science sectors. She also gained experience in coalition management and building. Prior to her role at APCO, Ms. Johnson worked at WE Communications, where she used a blend of proactive storytelling and crisis management to counsel technology clients on navigating extreme scrutiny resulting from large-scale brand-impacting issues.
Ms. Johnson graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies.
