New APCO Worldwide Chicago Managing Director Brings Deep Agency Leadership, Business Strategy Experience

Washington (August 12, 2014) – Tina-Marie Adams, former Ketchum senior client director and
Midwest regional director, joined APCO Worldwide as the firm’s new managing
director for its Chicago office, founder & CEO Margery Kraus announced
today.

“Tina-Marie is an incredibly accomplished PR professional with a proven track
record of agency leadership and a deep understanding of the Midwest,” Kraus
said. “She’s adept both at advising C-level executives on critical business
issues and growing the business.”

Adams joins APCO with nearly 20 years of agency experience. Prior to her
roles with Ketchum, she served as MWW Group Midwest general manager and Hill
& Knowlton regional labor relations, public affairs and health care director
as well as having worked at Fleishman-Hillard and The Tierney Group. Over the
course of her career, she has worked heavily in key sectors such as energy,
health care, transportation, food and higher education and with some of
America’s most iconic brands including Allstate, Exelon, McDonald’s, Notre Dame,
Safeway, Target, Unocal and Walgreens. In addition to her agency experience,
Adams also served as a reporter for The Chicago Tribune and later as an editor
for Gannett Newspapers.

research applied to areas such as corporate reputation, branding, crisis
communications, litigation communications and public affairs,” Adams said. “I’m
excited to build off of this strong legacy to grow APCO’s Chicago office.”

Adams served as a Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce board member, chair of the
Northwestern University Council of 100 and as an Executives’ Club of Chicago
communications committee member. She holds a bachelor of arts from Butler
University where she graduated summa cum laude and a master’s from Northwestern
University‘s Medill School of Journalism.
