Former Healthcare Executive Andy Davidson Joins APCO Worldwide’s International Advisory Council

Washington – August 25, 2020: Andy Davidson, founder of strategy consultancy Hummingbird Hill Advisors and long-time President and CEO of the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems, joined APCO Worldwide’s Health Advisory Board (HAB), a subgroup of its International Advisory Council, APCO Founder and Executive Chairman Margery Kraus announced today.

“With years of experience in public affairs and good governance practices, as well as business strategy consulting, Andy has consistently provided critical advice for organizations looking to establish or refine their business objectives, and build the tactical strategies to achieve those goals,” Kraus said. “I am inspired by Andy’s passion and his natural talent for linking clients with stakeholders and crucial partners. Prior to founding Hummingbird Hill, Davidson served as the president and CEO of the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems for 14 years. In this role, he spearheaded a wide range of healthcare policy initiatives and programs and oversaw the association’s state and federal lobby teams, crisis and strategic communications, and overall public affairs strategies. Previously, Davidson served as director of the software products division for a publicly traded health care information technology consulting company and Vice President of Government and Public Affairs for the Washington State Hospital Association.

Davidson has a long history of serving on the board of community and industry organizations. He was a founding board member of the Oregon Health Leadership Council and the Oregon Health Network, has served on the board of the Health Forum—a for-profit subsidiary of the American Health Association—and is a currently servicing in his ninth year on the board of Central City Concern.
