APCO Worldwide in Paris to Partner with Santé en Entreprise

Paris (11 February 2013) – APCO Worldwide in Paris is partnering with Santé en Entreprise (SEE) to support the organisation's programmes to combat HIV, malaria and chronic diseases among employees and local communities in France, Africa and the Caribbean, Nicolas Bouvier, managing director of APCO in Paris, announced today.

"We are excited to join forces with APCO to help extend the reach of our programmes and spread the word about issues around chronic diseases," said Erick Maville, managing director of SEE. "APCO's experience in strategic communication, positioning and media relations makes them a perfect partner for our efforts. Their track record successfully working on health care issues and public-private partnerships means they will provide us with the expertise that we need to add weight to our activities."

Established in January 2011, SEE now has 20 corporate partners. Its approach is based on promoting programmes to combat chronic diseases in the workplace among management and employees, as well as taking practical action on the ground at the local community level. During 2012, SEE successfully carried out a campaign to raise awareness of diabetes called "Diabetes, it affects everyone," which reached thousands of people working in businesses and public places in France and the Caribbean. Launched in Haiti in 2012, their campaign "A roof and health care for everyone," made it possible to build eco-homes, teach local people about sustainable construction techniques and educate them about health risks.

APCO's pro bono partnership with SEE is part of its corporate responsibility and sustainable growth strategy. "We are delighted to work with SEE to help raise awareness about these important issues. Their strong social and educational values align with APCO's own corporate responsibility priorities," said Pazanne Le Cour Grandmaison, head of corporate responsibility in APCO's Paris office. "APCO's employees are highly motivated by SEE's projects and the commitment of its partners who play a major role in health care prevention."
