APCO Worldwide Launches Critical Event Management Solution Partnership with Everbridge

July 29, 2020

Washington – July 29, 2020: APCO Worldwide entered into a critical event management (CEM) brand reputation and crisis management partnership with global CEM leader Everbridge, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVBG), Margery Kraus, founder and executive chairman, announced today.

This first-of-its-kind alliance will provide clients, including businesses, governments and healthcare organizations globally, with access to the combined assets of APCO’s reputation and crisis communications expertise and Everbridge’s award-winning software-as-a-service (SaaS) CEM Platform capabilities.

“This partnership will allow APCO and Everbridge to leverage each other’s strengths and expertise to better help clients anticipate critical events and navigate reputational risks caused by these events,” Kraus said. “Our partnership extends Everbridge’s powerful technology platform with APCO’s expertise to dramatically mitigate reputational risk before, during and after a crisis.”

In addition to supporting many of the world leading businesses, governments and healthcare organizations, as the global leader in critical event management and public warning, the Everbridge Platform also reaches over 550 million people through countrywide public warning system deployments in all major regions of the world including Australia, Iceland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Singapore and Sweden; the statewide mass notification systems of some of the most populous states in the U.S. including New York, Florida and California; as well as leading Fortune 500 companies and over 3,700 other municipalities, counties and cities within 49 of the 50 United States, all of Canada’s provinces, and throughout Europe and Asia, including many of the most populous states in India.

“Establishing a crisis management practice around CEM, in partnership with APCO’s deep expertise in reputation and crisis communications, will help transform the breadth of information and mitigation response by which brands protect their reputation,” said Everbridge CEO David Meredith. “Today, a favorable brand reputation as it relates to safety may mean the difference between surviving and thriving. In a social media environment, this becomes even more important, as brands can rapidly lose control of their message amid escalating threats such as the coronavirus.”

This partnership offers APCO and its clients the opportunity to tap into Everbridge’s established data system to raise awareness about various potential threats endangering clients—including natural disasters, cybersecurity incidents, terrorist attacks and others. For decades, APCO’s Crisis, Issues & Litigation Management team, led by APCO Executive Director Eliot Hoff, has helped leading global companies navigate crises of varying magnitudes and implications. The team also has a strong history of litigation management, with a strong foundation of data-driven strategies and strategic, measured communications designed to shape stakeholder opinion and protect corporate reputation.
