Brussels (January 25, 2017) – Andreas Constantinides, former Single Market and Industrial Policy Attaché at the Permanent Representation of Cyprus to the European Union, and a technology expert with more than a decade of industry experience, has joined APCO Worldwide announced Claire Boussagol, chairman, Europe and managing director, Brussels. Theo Moore is also promoted to deputy managing director, after eight years with APCO in Brussels, and Christoph Mielke has relocated to lead the health care practice in Brussels, having previously worked in APCO’s Berlin and Abu Dhabi offices for ten years.
Constantinides will serve as APCO’s European technology practice chairman, and is responsible for all technology practice strategy and execution in the region. Constantinides joins Michael Thomas and Jon Ramsey, recent additions to APCO’s global technology practice, who have provided expert counsel to numerous technology clients over the course of their careers.
“The digital sector’s growth and increasing complexity means it is a priority that we continue to provide industry-leading counsel to our clients,” said Boussagol. “Andreas’ outstanding knowledge of the sector, and deep understanding of EU Institutions, will be of great value to our clients. We’re delighted to welcome Andreas to APCO, and excited to see the technology practice continue to grow in Europe under his leadership.”
“APCO’s technology team has deep expertise throughout the sector and around the world,” said Constantinides. “I am very excited to have the opportunity to lead the firm’s European technology efforts, and look forward to joining the rest of the global technology practice team in assisting clients in this space.”
“I am also delighted to announce the promotion of Theo Moore to deputy managing director, Brussels,” said Boussagol. “Since joining APCO’s Brussels team in 2009, Theo has made an enormous contribution to the success of the office, heading our financial practice and providing inspired leadership of several significant client accounts. Given my new responsibilities as chairman of Europe, Theo will play an increasingly important role in managing our Brussels team and mentoring more junior employees.”
“It’s a privilege to have this opportunity,” said Moore. “APCO has great teams in Brussels and across our network. I am glad I’ll be able to help them as they do what matters most for businesses like ours in today’s changing world: deliver creative and effective answers to their clients’ needs, and grow professionally and personally in the face of fresh and exciting challenges.”
“With Christoph Mielke moving to Brussels from our Berlin office we are gaining more than just an excellent healthcare practitioner but also a colleague well known to our clients and our teams as an outstanding consultant and leader,” said Boussagol.
“After years of engaging with Brussels from a member state perspective, I am looking forward working from within the heart of the EU,” said Mielke. “Right now, I see that we are at a turning point, in many ways, for Europe. This creates both opportunities and threats for our clients, not least in healthcare where economic and social pressures are reshaping the market and regulation.”
