13 Year APCO Veteran Named Deputy Managing Director for APCO’s Berlin Office

Berlin (June 30, 2015) — Isabel Kassabian, an expert in German and European public affairs, was named deputy managing director for APCO Worldwide’s Berlin office, Robert Ardelt, managing director of APCO in Germany, announced today.

“With her expertise in stakeholder engagement and the health care industry, and in recognition of her important contribution to APCO’s strong growth in Germany in recent years, Isabel was promoted to strengthen our management team,” Ardelt said. “Isabel played a key role in the growth of our Berlin office and client portfolio, and I look forward to her continued contribution in growing our presence in the German market.”

Kassabian, who heads the German health care practice and leads national and international client accounts, joins a growing number of senior, women leaders at APCO, which is a majority women-owned enterprise. She has significant experience developing and implementing public affairs strategies with a strong focus on stakeholder outreach programs. With 13 years of experience at APCO, her expertise includes crisis communications and the positioning of corporate clients with key stakeholder groups, particularly in the health care and energy sectors. She has provided strategic counsel on topics as diverse as human rights, food, education, scientific publishing and information technology, as well as the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Kassabian worked in print and television journalism in Germany and abroad prior to joining APCO in 2002.
