Theo Moore

Deputy Managing Director

Theo Moore, deputy managing director of APCO Worldwide's Brussels office and head of APCO's financial practice in Europe, specializes in corporate and issues-based communication, including policy communication, litigation communication, stakeholder management and media relations.

Mr. Moore primarily works with clients across the financial and technology sectors, from SWIFT and DTCC to eBay and Microsoft, as well as with other major blue chip corporations such as Mars Inc. Currently, he is advising clients with regards to MiFID/R II, the Payments Directive, CRD IV, the Data Protection Directive and the NIS Directive, as well as on FTT, TTIP, internal change management and on-going global tax and banking regulation developments. He and his teams work within Brussels, across EU member states and with colleagues in North America and Asia.

Mr. Moore joined APCO from Brunswick, where he worked with a range of clients such as the Takeover Panel, Centaurus Capital, Unilever, AREVA, E.ON and BHP Billiton, as well as on transactions such as Toshiba’s acquisition of Westinghouse, HMG’s disposal of 25 percent of British Energy and BHP Billiton's unsolicited offer for Rio Tinto.

Previously, Mr. Moore was head of press and public relations for The Royal Parks, part of the UK’s Department for Culture, Media & Sport. He was responsible for the communication around 5,000 high-profile acres of central London, handling stories such as the troubled Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain, the 2003 Anti-War Rally in Hyde Park and the Live 8 Concert. Before joining the civil service, Mr. Moore worked predominantly on high-technology public affairs accounts for clients such as Microsoft, Dell, Gartner and Bull Information Systems, including highly successful campaigns around the Electronic Communications Act and the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act.

Mr. Moore has a first class honours degree in history from the University of Cambridge.
