Jo Bullen, director in APCO Worldwide’s London office, is a public affairs and strategic communication specialist who has more than 12 years experience in providing corporate communication advice to a diverse range of organisations from the private and public sectors. Skilled in delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects and programmes, Ms. Bullen combines high-level strategic counsel with the ability to deliver creative public affairs and communication campaigns.
With particular expertise in issue management, Ms. Bullen has an in-depth understanding of the external political, policy, regulatory and media environments and how these impact an organisation’s corporate reputation or financial performance. Her experience across a wide-range of policy areas and business sectors also includes extensive knowledge of health policy. She provides strategic counsel and campaign support for companies and organisations across the full pharmaceutical supply chain, involving disease awareness, regulatory issues, stakeholder relations, corporate reputation management, media relations, corporate communication and strategy development.
Prior to joining APCO in January 2004, Mrs. Bullen spent 10 years in the public affairs industry. She has provided political counsel to multiple private and public sector organisations, as well as trade associations. She also spent more than five years acting as policy advisor to the British Generic Manufacturers Association, the generic pharmaceutical industry’s trade body. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Government Relations with honours.
