Jeremy Ross

Jeremy Ross, representative in APCO Worldwide’s Bangkok office, brings substantial knowledge of HIV/AIDS, health care provision, health systems and policy in support of APCO’s health care practice across Asia.

Dr. Ross has more than six years experience in multi-stakeholder HIV/AIDS projects and programs working with an array of government, health care, United Nations (UN), nongovernmental and community-based organizations. Most recently these have included the management of operations research, strategic information and multi-country advocacy, network and policy development programs for Family Health International an international nongovernmental organization.

Dr. Ross also has extensive experience in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of HIV prevention, care and community projects for UN agencies in Asia, including the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS and the United Nations Population Fund.

A physician by training, Dr. Ross worked as a house officer and senior house officer for the United Kingdom National Health System, in medical, surgical and accident and emergency departments in various hospitals in and around London. Dr. Ross also has media experience having worked as a presenter and public representative at a cable television channel in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dr. Ross graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from King’s College Medical School. Dr. Ross also holds a master’s degree in health policy, planning and financing from the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine where he studied international health systems and policy, health economics and pharmaceutical economics and policy.

Dr. Ross is fluent in English and proficient in spoken Thai and has been trained in the use of the Asian Epidemic Model, a dynamic model used to project the course of HIV epidemics in various regions.
