Phil Riggins
Phil Riggins, director, APCO Insight®, EMEA, has more than 17 years experience using opinion research to assist clients in developing effective communication strategies. APCO Insight is the opinion research division of APCO Worldwide. Based in London, Mr. Riggins provides research-driven communication plans for APCO’s clients across Europe, Africa and Asia.
Mr. Riggins has extensive experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative research in markets across the EU and around the world, with particular expertise in dealing with complex public and foreign policy issues including energy, biotech, technology, diet and health issues (particularly obesity), and corporate and national reputation.
Over the years, Mr. Riggins’ client experience has included developing messages and communication strategies for major multinational corporations, national governments, intergovernmental organizations, nonprofits and industry associations.
Before joining APCO, Mr. Riggins was senior managing director of KRC Research, in London, an IPG company. Prior to KRC, Mr. Riggins spent six years conducting opinion research for the U.S. Information Agency (USIA); now part of the U.S. Department of State. At USIA, Mr. Riggins monitored a wide range of political, economic, social and business issues, including views of the United States and U.S. foreign policy, EU integration and expansion, the future of NATO, and the war in Bosnia.
Mr. Riggins received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Arizona State University and his master’s degree in political science from the American University in Washington, D.C. Mr. Riggins was also awarded a Presidential Management Internship in 1991.
