Anna Reece

Anna Reece is a director in APCO Worldwide's Brussels office. Ms. Reece is part of the foreign policy, government relations and energy teams at APCO. Her experience covers policy development and implementation, international organizations, European institutions, national ministries, NGOs, think tanks and the media. Drawing on this she supports clients through comprehensive analysis on relevant EU policy developments, positioning advice and strategy formulation to influence the policy process.

Ms. Reece is a trained lawyer who worked in UNHCR, the Office of the High Representative, the Council of Europe and the Council of Baltic Sea States (CBSS). There she planned and coordinated policy development as well as implemented projects on refugee returns, freedom of movement, human rights and police reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Albania. She also has extensive experience in election development and monitoring. As a former chief of staff of CBSS, she has substantial experience working with government officials, EU Institutions, the Council of Europe, NATO, the UN and the NGO community.

Ms. Reece started her legal career with the National Police Department dealing with false indenties in the aliens squad and worked for several years in the Swedish Aliens Appeal Court. She also worked for two cooperate finance law firms in Stockholm and New York before she took on her first assignment for the UN.

Ms. Reece has a Master of Law from Stockholm University. She speaks Swedish, English, German and proficient French.
