APCO CEO Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year
Washington, D.C. (June 26, 2006) – Margery Kraus, APCO president and chief executive officer, received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® 2006 Award for Greater Washington in the services category during a black tie dinner June 22.
The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic and growing businesses, according to Ernst & Young.
"This award is a reflection on the entrepreneurial spirit that is embraced by APCO staff worldwide. It is truly an honor," said Kraus. As a Greater Washington award winner, Kraus is now eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 18, 2006. The overall national Entrepreneur of the Year award recipient is then considered for the world event held in Monte Carlo.
