Washington, D.C. (February 12, 2008) – Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan has joined APCO Worldwide’s (APCO) International Advisory Council (IAC), Margery Kraus, president and chief executive officer, announced today.
“Scott knows intimately the nexus of media, politics and business,” said Kraus. “His perspective brings tremendous value to our clients who operate in that complex landscape.”
McClellan joins a distinguished group of expert advisors in the IAC, including: former Congressman Mike Oxley, co-author of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act; former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski; and Roger Bolton, former assistant secretary of the treasury and senior vice president of communications for health care benefits provider Aetna.
“I look forward to working with APCO’s fascinating and diverse roster of clients,” said McClellan. “APCO brings together strategic thinkers with a wide range of expertise who understand how to successfully navigate the communications challenges in our increasingly transparent society, and it’s exciting to be a part of such a forward-looking team.”
In addition to his role at APCO, McClellan serves as the senior vice president of corporate and government affairs at HHB Inc., a leading global consulting and technology firm for project and purchase compliance.
