Sorasak Samonkraisorakit is managing director of APCO Worldwide in Thailand. Mr. Samonkraisorakit joined APCO from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand where he was first secretary in the Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs, responsible for free trade agreement negotiations for Thailand. He has over 12 years of experience in diplomacy, international trade negotiations and state to state dispute resolution.

Mr. Samonkraisorakit’s previous experience includes four years as first secretary at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C., responsible for economic and congressional affairs, and as consul at the Thai Consulate-General in Calcutta, India. He started his career as a lawyer with Tilleke & Gibbons in Bangkok.

Mr. Samonkraisorakit graduated from Thammasat University in Bangkok with a Bachelor of Laws and then obtained a master’s degree in international commercial law from the University of Kent in the UK. He is speaks Thai fluently.
