Since 1997, Indonesia's political and business environment has changed dramatically. National institutions have had to reshape themselves, while an explosion of civil society has led to an increasingly assertive media and the empowerment of nongovernmental organizations. In 1999, facing these challenges, several worldwide clients asked APCO to assist them in making sense of these changes and help protect and enhance their investments in Indonesia.
