APCO Worldwide in Brussels is seeking an Associate with at least 2 years of experience to join its health care practice. The role is suited to a graduate preferably with a strong understanding and practical experience of the health care and consumer health policy and communication environment.

The Associate will be involved with the day–to–day delivery of client projects and the development of new business projects and the health care practice. He/she will be strong on tactical implementation, but also have the ability or potential to take day-to-day ownership of client projects and manage them to completion. Good written and oral communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate written materials, such as presentations, reports, press releases, summaries and other client materials
  • Monitor media, policy and political issues, create coverage reports and inform team members of relevant developments
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide support in the development of public affairs and communication plans for clients
  • Identify new business opportunities. Generate revenue forecasting / budgeting reports

Associate/Senior Associate

Our Brussels office is currently seeking a Consultant/Senior Consultant to join its successful and expanding technology and media practice. The role is suited to a graduate with a strong understanding and practical experience of EU policy and communication challenges in the audiovisual, media and intellectual property domains.

The Associate/Senior Associate will be involved with day–to–day management of client projects by supervising project teams and junior staff and delegation of projects. The Associate/Senior Associate will implement client programs with a proven ability to interact effectively with one of more of the EU institutions, trade associations, companies and the media. The Associate/Senior Associate will be responsible for developing communication plans, managing client relationships and developing new business. Help Desk Officer
Brussels

The primary role of the Help Desk Engineer is to manage the provision of technical support for computer users at APCO Worldwide in EMEA. This will involve various aspects of network administration, troubleshooting LAN/WAN connectivity and computer/software problems over the telephone and at the desk. The position requires the candidate to support various software packages including Windows XP Professional/Vista, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange, Network Operating Systems, anti-virus software, and other desktop-based business software applications in a LAN/WAN environment. It is expected the engineer would also take responsibility for maintaining our Disaster Recovery systems.

The Help Desk Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the timely resolution and analysis of all logged helpdesk tickets and escalation where required. Other duties as they are assigned.

The primary focus of this role is one of customer service; ensuring staff can work optimally within a stable environment with the tools they need to do their job. The Help Desk Engineer needs to ensure that support requests are dealt with to an agreed charter of service.

The Help Desk Engineer should be familiar with the equipment provided to users and should be able to advise the regional Network Manager on amortisation of equipment for the coming year.

It is expected that the Helpdesk Engineer will be keen to expand skill set and will work hard to make him/herself familiar with new technologies as we plan to deploy them.

Functional Supervision: Regional Network Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance/technical support to Help Desk Staff
  • Perform Trend Analysis on tickets, advise regional IT of training/hardware/software requirements
  • Quality assurance on computer builds, equipment installs and maintenance
  • Building desktops/laptops to corporate standards
  • Perform network administration tasks on windows servers and network appliances
  • Remote office support and administration
  • Troubleshoot and provide guidance to users via telephone to solve their problems
  • Record issue resolution
  • Provide desk-side support when necessary
  • Occasional out of hours and weekend work is a requirement of this role
  • This role will involve occasional travel to our remote sites in Paris, Berlin, Bonn, Johannesburg, Moscow, Dubai, London, Tel Aviv and Rome

Skills and Experience :

Minimum 2 years experience in customer support in a Networking environment using Windows-based computer workstations

  • Experience supporting Windows XP Professional, Vista experience an advantage
  • Excellent (and demonstrable) Microsoft Office skills
  • Broad understanding of TCP/IP essential
  • Experience of installing networking equipment, printers
  • Windows 2003 Server experience essential
  • Experience of Exchange, SharePoint, BES, network security, firewalls or SQL an advantage

Education and Certificaton:

  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or MCSE desirable
  • Advanced technical training and certification in Microsoft’s server products, desktop applications, or hardware (A++) desirable

APCO Worldwide, a global communication consulting firm, is seeking a talented Interactive Developer with 1-2 years of experience to lead and assist in interactive development within a fast-paced agency environment. This position can be based in London or Brussels as part of our cutting edge online team.

The Interactive Developer works with project teams, online media strategists, and other Web developers to create interactive solutions for client initiatives. The position will build, test, debug and troubleshoot interactive deliverables for a wide range of project types including Web interfaces, interactive online ads and online tools.

Qualified candidates must be able to work as part of a close-knit, cross-functional project team with both technical and non-technical team members, while also being able to be proactive and function independently.
