Former Ernst & Young Senior Partner to Head APCO in Indonesia

Jakarta (October 30, 2007) – John Arnold, founding chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, joins APCO Worldwide as managing director and president director of PT APCO Worldwide in Indonesia, Christian Murck, chief executive officer, Asia, announced today. Arnold was previously a senior partner at Ernst & Young in Indonesia.

"John is one of the most respected figures in the Indonesian business community," said Murck. "I know his experience and leadership qualities will be a huge asset to APCO in Indonesia and to our senior management team in the Asia region."

During Arnold's 22 years as a partner with Ernst & Young in Indonesia he led the firm's business advisory service practice and was responsible for introducing and leading their annual Entrepreneur of the Year® program in Indonesia. He also served as director of business development, marketing and communications. Arnold was one of the founders of Indonesia Business Links, an organization to promote corporate responsibility in Indonesia, and he is an active and longstanding spokesman on matters of corporate governance and corporate responsibility. He was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 2002 for services to British - Indonesian commercial relations.

As well serving for more than 10 years as founding chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce, Arnold was also a board member of the European Chamber of Commerce and served as the first vice chairman of the International Business Chamber. He is a trustee of the British International School of Jakarta. Arnold, a British citizen, worked for Ernst & Young in London and then Singapore before moving to Indonesia in 1983. He retired from Ernst & Young earlier this year.
