Claire Boussagol

Claire Boussagol, managing director of APCO Worldwide’s Brussels office, formerly served as executive director of the EMEA region and managing director of APCO’s Paris office.   
 
For the last 23 years, she has provided strategic counsel and managed complex EU and French public affairs and communication assignments on behalf of multinational clients across a broad range of policy areas. Her particular areas of expertise cover financial services, external relations and energy policy.   

Prior to joining APCO, Ms. Boussagol was deputy manager at ECCO (European Consulting Company), specializing in communication programs for trade associations with regard to the European institutions. She worked from 1991 to 1995 at European Strategy, which forms part of the International Communications Group Grayling-Lopex. As a director of European strategy, she specialized in advertising, consumer and trade policy, as well as financial services.  
 
Ms. Boussagol taught for four years at Sciences Po in Paris. She has completed the Cycle des Hautes Etudes Européennes (CHEE) from the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA).   

Ms. Boussagol was originally trained as a lawyer and holds a master's degree in business law from Bordeaux University, a certificate in English law from Warwick University and a postgraduate degree in European community law from the Robert Schuman University of Strasbourg. She is fluent in French and English and proficient in Spanish.
