Former Barclays Corporate Affairs Leader Named Managing Director for APCO in India
Washington, D.C. (October 6, 2010) – Sukanti Ghosh, former head of corporate affairs at Barclays Bank PLC in India, has been named managing director of APCO Worldwide's India offices, Brad Staples, chief executive officer for APCO in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and India, announced today.

Over the course of his professional career, Ghosh oversaw national corporate affairs teams in India and overseas. Prior to his role at Barclays, he served as head of corporate and product communications at BankMuscat SAOG, based in Oman. He also led the public relations divisions of TBWA India and Contract Advertising India Limited, where he worked with blue-chip national and multinational clients.

Ghosh's specialties include change management and communication; stakeholder engagement; development of communication policies, processes and benchmarks; executive positioning; crisis communication; media training and management; and corporate responsibility. He also brings extensive experience working with and writing for the Indian print and broadcast media.
Ghosh serves on the international advisory board of PublicAffairsAsia and is a member of the Gold Standard Awards' international judging panel.
