Asitava Sen Joins APCO Worldwide

New Delhi (October 19, 2010) - Asitava Sen, former India leader of business consulting services and member of the South Asia executive committee for the Nielsen Company, joined APCO Worldwide, an award-winning global strategic communication and corporate advisory firm, as a director, corporate advisory and public affairs, Sukanti Ghosh, managing director for APCO in India, announced today. Sen will be responsible for growing APCO's food and consumer products practice in India. He will be based in APCO's New Delhi office.

A specialist in the consumer, retail and real estate sectors in India, Sen has advised a variety of corporate clients involved in food services, fitness and retail. His experience includes counsel to private equity investors on market entry and growth strategy, trend analysis, demand segmentation, concept development, business plan development, consumer insights, and financial and regulatory advisory. He also assisted companies in the consumer and packaged goods, durables, building materials, manufacturing, telecoms, health care and insurance sectors with entry into the Indian market. Sen joins a dynamic and growing team of experts in corporate, financial and marketing communication.

Prior to joining Nielsen, Sen was vice president, retail and consumer goods, at Technopak Advisors and associate director in the advisory practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) India. He has also worked with Kurt Salmon Associates and A.F. Ferguson (now part of Deloitte Consulting).
