Doron Bergerbest-Eilon
Doron Bergerbest-Eilon is the former head of the protection and security division and the senior ranking security official of the Israeli Security Agency (ISA), a position equivalent to the rank of major general. Mr. Bergerbest-Eilon is the founder, president and CEO of ASERO Worldwide, where he advises clients on strategic and tactical security challenges and provides assistance to both governments and corporations to prepare, mitigate and recover from threats of terrorism and other hazards; and to protect lives and critical assets and ensure continuity of operations.
While with the ISA, Mr. Bergerbest-Eilon’s national responsibilities consisted of the protection and security of: Israeli dignitaries; international and internal border crossings; Israeli domestic and international civil aviation and all foreign civil aviation in the State of Israel; Israeli ports and Israeli vessels in foreign ports; Israel’s diplomatic security service; and Israeli official delegations traveling abroad, such as Olympic teams, official exhibitions and other forums. In this position he was also responsible for two national authorities: the National Authority for the Protection of Classified Information and the National Authority for the Protection of Israel’s Critical Infrastructure, including energy, transportation, health, water supply and more.
Mr. Bergerbest-Eilon serves on Pictet & Cie funds’ board of advisors. He is also a member of the Haifa University Board of Trustees, actively involved in several international security forums and the founder of the International Physical Security Forum. In May 2005, Mr. Bergerbest-Eilon was presented with The Director’s Recognition Award, the U.S. Secret Service director’s highest commendation.
Mr. Bergerbest-Eilon holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in political science, specializing in national security from Haifa University in Israel. He is also a graduate of the Executive Master of Business Administration program from Tel Aviv University.
